Vigdorovits Dávid

Dávid s-a născut în anul 1886 în orașul Baia Mare. A fost un pălărier apreciat în oraș. S-a căsătorit cu Lenke și au avut împreună 6 copii: Rezsi, Szerén, Béla, Ilus, Frájdu și Gitu. În anul 1944 jandarmeria maghiară i-a închis în ghetoul din oraș, iar în iunie au fost deportați în lagărul de exterminare Auschwitz-Birkenau. Întreaga familie a fost ucisă de mașinăria nazistă.

Dávid 1886-ban született Nagybányán (ma Máramaros megye). A városban köztiszteletben álló kalapos volt. Feleségül vette Lenkét és 6 gyermekük született: Rezsi, Szerén, Béla, Ilus, Frájdu és Gitu. 1944-ben a magyar csendőrség a városi gettóba zárta őket, júniusban pedig az auschwitz-birkenaui megsemmisítő táborba deportálták őket. Az egész családot meggyilkolta a náci gépezet.

Dávid was born in 1886 in Baia Mare (Maramureș county, Romania today). He was a well-respected hatter in town. He married Lenke and together they had 6 children: Rezsi, Szerén, Béla, Ilus, Frájdu and Gitu. In 1944 the Hungarian gendarmerie imprisoned them in the city ghetto and in June they were deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp. The whole family was murdered by the Nazi machine.
