Povestea supraviețuitoarei Hedy Fladell din Sighet

🇷🇴 Hedy Fladell din Sighet, județul Maramureș.
Ea își amintește clar că a fost băgată într-un ghetou care a durat 6 luni. Doamna Fladell își amintește de stingerea de la orele 18:00 și de toți cei forțați să poarte banderola. Ea a avut un prieten neevreu care a venit în ghetou să o viziteze, și-a scos banderola și împreună cu prietena ei au părăsit gheotul pentru a putea aduce mâncare înapoi celor flămânzi din ghetou.
Au fost băgați în vagoane de vite, iar călătoria până la Auschwitz a durat 5 zile . Hedy, tânăra de 12 ani, mama și două surori au fost selectate în stânga, spre furnale. Sora ei mai mare a fost trimisă în dreapta. În mod miraculos, Hedy a alergat să se alăture surorii ei mai mari și astfel a supraviețuit.
Un capo evreu a văzut-o și a avertizat-o să mintă și să spună că are 17 ani. În lagăre ea a văzut că gardienii SS ținteau aleatoriu deținuții și trăgeau în ei doar pentru distracție.
A fost eliberată de armata americană. Ea locuiește în SUA.

Tisztán emlékszik arra, hogy hat hónapig gettóba zárták. Fladell asszony emlékszik a 18:00-as oltásra és mindazokra, akik a karszalag viselésére voltak kényszerülve. Volt egy nem zsidó barátja, aki meglátogatta a gettóba, levette a karszalagját és barátjával együtt elhagyta a gettót, hogy ételt vigyen vissza az éhezőknek a gettóba.
Szarvasvagonokba hurcolták őket és az Auschwitzba vezető út 5 napig tartott. A 12 éves Hedy, édesanyja és két nővére a baloldali sorba kerültek a kemencák felő. Az idősebb nővérét jobbra küldték. Csodával határos módon Hedy elrohant, hogy csatlakozzon idősebb nővéréhez és így megmenekült a halál elől.
Egy zsidó kapó meglátta és arra kérte, hogy hazudjon és mondja, hogy 17 éves. A táborokban látta, hogy az SS-őrök véletlenszerűen megcélozták a fogvatartottakat és csak szórakozásból lövöldöztek rájuk.
Az amerikai hadsereg szabaditotta ki. Az USA-ban él.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Hedy Fladell from Sighet, Maramureș county. She vividly remembers being put into a ghetto that lasted 6 months. Mrs. Fladell remembers the 6pm curfew and everyone forced wearing the armband. She had a non Jewish friend that came in to the gettho to visit her, she took off her arm band and together with her friend they left the gettho so she can bring back food to the hungry in the gettho.
They were put into cattle cars and it took 5 days and 4 nights the journey to Auschwitz. Young 12 year old Hedy, mom and two sisters were selected to the left. Her eldest sister was sent to the right. Miraculously Hedy ran across to join her older sister and that was how she survived.
A Jewish capo saw her and warned her to lie and say she was 17. In the camps she witnessed SS guard randomly targeting inmates and shooting while they were laughing.
She was liberated by the American Army. She lives in the USA.
