Alice Kern, fiica Sighetului

🇷🇴 Alice Kern s-a născut în Sighetu Marmației în 1923 cu numele de Koppel Lucy.
Scriitoare, autoare a romanului “Tapiseria speranţei”. În anul 1995, împreună cu cele patru fiice, a turnat în Sighetu Marmației şi în lagărele naziste filmul documentar “Călătorie pentru aducere aminte”, având ca scenariu textul romanului.
Alice Kern:„Doar cu hainele pe noi am fost duși în vagoane pentru vite. La sosirea noastră în Auschwitz, am fost „selectați” sub lumina reflectoarelor;… Toate experiențele de după aceea au fost imposibil de uitat.”

🇭🇺 Alice Kern 1923-ban Máramarosszigeten született Koppel Lucy néven.
Író, a “Tapestry of Hope” című regény szerzője. 1995-ben négy lányával a regény szövege alapján Máramarosszigeten és a náci táborokban forgatta az „Journey to Remember” című dokumentumfilmet.
Alice Kern: „Csak ruhákkal magunkon marhavagonokba hajtottak minket. Auschwitzba érkezésünkkor „kiválasztottak” minket reflektorfénynél;… Az ezt követő összes élményt nem lehetett elfelejteni.”

Writer, author of the novel “Tapestry of Hope”. In 1995, together with her four daughters, she shot in Sighetu Marmației and in the Nazi camps the documentary film “Journey to Remember”, based on the text of the novel.
Alice Kern: „With only the clothes on our back we were driven into cattle cars. Upon our arrival in Auschwitz we were “selected” under the bright spotlight beaming down on us;… All the experiences thereafter were impossible to forget…”.
