Weisz Eva

Weisz Eva s-a născut pe 9 septembrie 1923, în Baia Mare. Din cercetările noastre reiese că era fiica unui renumit coafor din oraș, Weisz Samuel. Familia Weisz locuia pe actuala stradă Horea.

Din păcate, în anul 1944, autoritățile maghiare au deportat familia Weisz. Eva a fost trimisă la Auschwitz-Birkenau, unde a supraviețuit selecției, iar pe 10 august 1944 a fost mutată în lagărul de la Buchenwald. Din nefericire, nu am reușit să aflăm ce s-a întâmplat cu ea după ce a ajuns acolo.

Weisz Éva 1923. szeptember 9-én született Nagybányán. Kutatásaink szerint egy neves helyi fodrász, Weisz Sámuel lánya volt. A Weisz család a mai Horea (korábbi Postarét) utcában lakott.

1944-ben a magyar hatóságok sajnos deportálták a családot. Évát Auschwitz-Birkenauba hurcolták, ahol túlélte a szelekciót, majd 1944. augusztus 10-én a buchenwaldi táborba szállították. További sorsáról sajnos nem sikerült információt találnunk.

Weisz Eva was born on September 9, 1923, in Baia Mare(Maramureș county, Romania). According to our research, she was the daughter of a well-known local hairdresser, Weisz Samuel. The Weisz family lived on what is now Horea Street.

Unfortunately, in 1944, the Hungarian authorities deported the Weisz family. Eva was sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where she survived the selection process, and on August 10, 1944, she was transferred to the Buchenwald camp. Unfortunately, we have not been able to determine what happened to her after that.
