Lébi Jakab

Familia Jakab s-a mutat în Baia Mare din Seini. Băieții mai mari a familiei au fost membrii activi ai organizației Hasomer din oraș. Jakab, soția lui, copiii lor, Hindu, Cipru, Malvin, Valvi și Chaja au fost cu toții deportați de autoritățile maghiare și germane în mai 1944. Cu toții au fost uciși la scurt timp în Auschwitz. Singurii supraviețuitori au fost băieții Zoli și Marci. După război ambii frații au emigrat.

A Jakab család Szinérváraljáról költözött Nagybányára. A család idősebb fiúi a Hasomer szervezet aktív tagjai voltak a városban. Jakabot, feleségét, gyermekeiket, Hindut, Ciprut, Malvint, Valvit és Chaját a magyar és a német hatóságok deportálták 1944 májusában. Mindannyiukat nem sokkal később Auschwitzban meggyilkolták. Az egyetlen túlélők, Zoli és Marci fiai voltak. A háború után mindkét testvér emigrált.

The Jakab family moved to Baia Mare from Seini (Romania). The older boys of the family were active members of the Hasomer organization in the city. Jakab, his wife, their children, Hindu, Cyprus, Malvin, Valvi and Chaja were all deported by the Hungarian and German authorities in May 1944. They were all killed shortly afterwards in Auschwitz. The only survivors were the boys Zoli and Marci. After the war both brothers emigrated.
