Hirsch Fani

Hirsch Fani s-a născut în Baia Mare, în anul 1908. Numele ei de fată a fost Glück. S-a căsătorit cu Adolf și au avut trei copii: Ernő, Magda și Ilus. Au locuit pe actuala stradă Vasile Lucaciu(atunci strada Baia Sprie) unde au deținut și un magazin. În aprilie 1944 jandarmerie maghiară (aflată atunci sub ocupație nazistă) i-a strâns pe toți în tabăra de pe Valea Borcutului. La finalul lunii mai a fost deportată întreaga familie în lagărul de exterminare Auschwitz-Birkenau. Fani, Adolf, Ernő și Magda au fost uciși de naziști. Ilus a supraviețuit.

Hirsch Fani 1908-ban született Nagybányán (ma Máramaros megye, Románia). Leánykori neve Glück volt. Adolfhoz ment feleségül és három gyermekük született: Ernő, Magda és Ilus. A jelenlegi Vasile Lucaciu utcában (akkor Felsőbányai utca) laktak, ahol üzletük is volt. 1944 áprilisában a magyar csendőrség (akkor még náci megszállás alatt) a borkúti táborba kényszeritette a családot. Május végén az egész családot az auschwitz-birkenaui lágerbe deportálták. Fanit, Adolfot, Ernőt és Magdát meggyilkolták a nácik. Ilus túlélte a háborút.

Hirsch Fani was born in Baia Mare(now Maramureș county, Romania) in the year 1908. Her maiden name was Glück. She married Adolf and they had three children: Ernő, Magda and Ilus. They lived on the current Vasile Lucaciu street (then Baia Sprie street) where they also owned a shop. In April 1944, the Hungarian gendarmerie (then under Nazi occupation) rounded up everyone in the camp on Valea Borcutului. At the end of May, the whole family was deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp. Fani, Adolf, Ernő and Magda were murdered by the Nazis. Ilus survived the war.
