Dávid Jándi, renumit expresionist de la Școala de Pictură Băimăreană

🇷🇴 Artistul Dávid Jándi s-a născut la 3 aprilie 1893 ca Dávid Lánder Léderer în Jánd. Era copilul unei familii de evrei destul de sărace.
Și-a petrecut cea mai mare parte a vieții în Baia Mare, unde din 1911 a fost elevul lui Károly Ferenczy, István Réti și János Thorma. A pictat în principal peisaje, scene biblice și mitologice.
A avut și câteva expoziții . A expus la Belvedere în 1923, la Salonul Național în 1926 și la Galeria Tamás în 1937. În 1926 a fost ales membru titular al Asociaţiei Pictorilor din Baia Mare. De asemenea, a expus regulat în mai multe orașe din Transilvania.
A fost deportat din Baia Mare în 1944 și împușcat în timp ce evada din trenul de deportare.
Mai multe lucrări ale lui Dávid Jándi pot fi văzute la Muzeul Judetean de Artă «Centrul Artistic Baia Mare».

🇭🇺 Jándi Dávid festő 1893. április 3-án született Jándon Léderer Dávid néven. Elszegényedett zsidó család gyermeke volt.
Élete nagy részét Nagybányán töltötte, ahol 1911-től Ferenczy Károly, Réti István és Thorma János növendéke volt. Főképpen tájképeket, bibliai és mitológiai jeleneteket festett.
Több gyűjteményes kiállítása is volt. 1923-ban a Belvederében, 1926-ban a Nemzeti Szalonban, 1937-ben pedig a Tamás Galériában állított ki. 1926-ban a Nagybányai Festők Társasága rendes tagjának választotta. Rendszeresen kiállított több erdélyi városban is.
1944-ben Nagybányáról deportálták, a deportáló vonatból történő szökése közben lelőtték.
Jándi Dávid több alkotása megtekinthető a nagybányai képzőmüvészeti múzeumban.

He spent most of his life in Baia Mare, where from 1911 he was a student of Károly Ferenczy, István Réti and János Thorma. He mainly painted landscapes, biblical and mythological scenes.
He also had several collection exhibitions. He exhibited in the Belvedere in 1923, in the National Salon in 1926, and in the Tamás Gallery in 1937. In 1926 he was elected a full member of the Society of Painters of Baia Mare. He has also exhibited regularly in several Transylvanian cities.
He was deported from Baia Mare in 1944 and shot while escaping from the deporting train.
Several works by Dávid Jándi can be viewed at the Baia Mare Museum of Fine Arts.
