Berényi Ervin

Ervin s-a născut în anul 1907 în Baia Mare. A absolvit școala în oraș, a terminat facultatea și a devenit avocat. A locuit pe actuala stradă Crișan (Magyar utca). În mai 1944 jandarmii maghiari l-au ridicat de acasă și l-au forțat în ghetou. În iunie a fost deportat în lagărul de exterminare Auschwitz. Naziștii l-au ucis și pe el.

Ervin 1907-ben született Nagybányán. A városban végezte az iskolát, az egyetem bfejezése után ügyvéd lett. A jelenlegi Crișan utcában (Magyar utca) lakott. 1944 májusában a magyar csendőrök elvitték otthonából és a gettóba kényszerítették. Júniusban az auschwitzi megsemmisítő táborba deportálták. A nácik őt is meggyilkolták.

Ervin was born in 1907 in Baia Mare (Satu Mare county then) Maramureș county, Romania. He graduated from school in the city, finished college and became a lawyer. He lived on the current Crișan street (Magyar utca). In May 1944 Hungarian gendarmes took him from his home and forced him into the ghetto. In June he was deported to the Auschwitz extermination camp. The Nazis murdered him too.
