Muszkál Elza

Elza s-a născut în anul 1920 în Baia Mare, județul Sătmar atunci. A fost fata doamnei Zseni, menajeră. După ce a terminat studiile, Elza a devenit croitoreasă. A fost o tânără harnică, nu ducea lipsă de clienți. În mai-iunie 1944 jandarmeria maghiară le-a închis pe Elza și mama ei în ghetoul din Baia Mare, iar în final au fost deportate de armata nazistă în lagărul de concentrare Auschwitz. Elza și mama ei au fost ucise la scurt timp după ce au ajuns în lagăr.

Elza 1920-ban született Nagybányán, akkori Szatmár megyében, Románia. Édesanyja Zseni volt, házvezetőnő. Tanulmányai befejezése után Elza varrónő lett. Szorgalmas fiatal nő volt, vásárlókban nem volt hiány. 1944 májusában-júniusában a magyar csendőrség a nagybányai gettóba zárta Elzát és édesanyját, végül a náci hadsereg az auschwitzi koncentrációs táborba deportálta őket. Elzát és édesanyját nem sokkal a táborba érkezésük után megölték.

Elza was born in 1920 in Baia Mare, then Sătmar county, Romania. She was the daughter of Mrs. Zseni, a housekeeper. After completing her studies, Elza became a seamstress. She was a hardworking young woman, she had no shortage of customers. In May-June 1944, the Hungarian gendarmerie imprisoned Elza and her mother in the Baia Mare ghetto and finally they were deported by the Nazi army to the Auschwitz concentration camp. Elsa and her mother were murdered shortly after arriving at the camp.
