Krampfner Béla

Béla a trăit în Baia Mare alături de soția lui Sári și băiatul lor Tibi. A avut o căruță cu care transporta marfa oamenilor din Baia Mare și împrejurimi. În timp ce Béla a ajuns într-un detașament de muncă forțată pe front, nevasta și băiatul lor au fost forțați în ghetoul din Baia Mare de către jandarmeria maghiară. Sári și Tibi au fost deportați în lagărul de exterminare din Auschwitz unde au fost uciși de naziști, însă Béla a supraviețuit războiului. După război s-a recăsătorit și a emigrat în Israel. Portretul lui Béla este parte a expoziției Vecinii mei, evreii.

Béla Nagybányán élt feleségével, Sárival és fiukkal, Tibivel. Volt egy kocsija, amellyel Nagybányáról és környékéről szállította az emberek áruját. Míg Béla a fronton munkaszolgálatos különítménybe került, feleségét és fiát a magyar csendőrség a nagybányai gettóba kényszerítette. Sárit és Tibit az auschwitzi megsemmisítő táborba deportálták, ahol a nácik megölték őket, de Béla túlélte a háborút. A háború után újraházasodott és Izraelbe költözött. Béla portréja a Szomszédaim, a zsidók című kiállítás része.

Béla lived in Baia Mare, (Maramureș county, Romania now) with his wife Sári and their son Tibi. He had a cart with which he transported the goods of people from Baia Mare and its surroundings. While Béla ended up in a forced labor detachment at the front, his wife and their boy were forced into the Baia Mare ghetto by the Hungarian gendarmerie. Sári and Tibi were deported to the Auschwitz extermination camp where they were murdered by the Nazis, but Béla survived. After the war he remarried and immigrated to Israel. Béla’s portrait is part of the exhibition My Neighbors, the Jews.
