Glück Elemér

Părinții lui Elemér, Fülöp și Margit, au deținut un magazin de băuturi lângă grădinile Bay (azi strada Griviței) din orașul Baia Mare. Familia a fost una îndrăgită de către comunitatea locală. Elemér a mai avut trei frați: Izidor, Jozsi și Magda. Părinții lui, sora Magda și fratele Jozsi au fost deportați din Baia Mare de către autoritățile maghiare și naziste. Elemér și Izidor au fost uciși la finalul anului 1944 în Franța, în timp ce părinții lor cu sora lor Magda au fost uciși în lagărul de exterminare Auschwitz-Birkenau. Singurul supraviețuitor din familie a fost Jozsi. După război a emigrat în Israel.

Elemér szüleinek, Fülöpnek és Margitnak volt egy italboltja a nagybányai Bay kert (ma Griviței utca) közelében. A családot tisztelték a helyi közösségben. Elemérnek még három testvére volt: Izidor, Jozsi és Magda. Szüleit és testvéreti, Magdát és Józsit a magyar és a náci hatóságok deportálták Nagybányáról. Elemér és Izidor 1944 végén Franciaországban, szüleiket Magdával az auschwitz-birkenaui megsemmisítő táborban gyilkolták meg. A család egyetlen túlélője Józsi volt. A háború után Izraelbe emigrált.

Elemér’s parents, Fülöp and Margit, owned a liquor store near the Baia Mare (Romania today) Bay Gardens (today Griviței street). The family was beloved by the local community. Elemér had three more brothers: Izidor, Jozsi and Magda. His parents, sister Magda and brother Jozsi were deported from Baia Mare by the Hungarian and Nazi authorities. Elemér and Izidor were murdered at the end of 1944 in France, while their parents with Magda were murdered in the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp. The only survivor in the family was Jozsi. After the war he emigrated to Israel.
