József Hollósy, primul reprezentant al budismului în Ungaria

Primul reprezentant al budismului în Ungaria a fost József Hollósy.

József Hollósy s-a născut în 1860 ca al treilea fiu al familiei Hollósy, fratele mai mic al lui Ferenc și Simon. A absolvit școala în Sighetu Marmației.

A studiat la Academia de Arte Frumoase din München ca student al lui Gabel. Bursier la München între 1880-84.

Prima ediție a Káté a fost publicată în anul 1893 în Sighetu Marmației, iar apoi, datorită interesului, a fost publicată a doua oară în 1901.

A doua lucrare a lui József Hollósy a fost cartea Buddha mondák, care a fost publicată în 1896 tot în Sighetu Marmației. Aceasta este o traducere a cărții lui Karl Eugen Neumann Zwei Buddhistische Suttas.

József Hollósy a murit la 11 aprilie 1898, după o lungă suferință.

A magyarországi buddhizmus első képviselője Hollósy József volt.

Hollósy József a Hollósy család harmadik fiaként, Ferenc és Simon öccseként jön a világra 1860-ban. A gimnázium hét osztályát Máramarosszigeten végezte.

A müncheni képzőművészeti akadémián tanult Gabel tanítványaként. 1880-84 között ösztöndíjas Münchenben.

A Káté első kiadása 1893-ban Máramarosszigeten jelent meg, majd az érdeklődésre való tekintettel 1901-ben másodszor is kiadták.

Hollósy József második munkája a Buddha mondák című könyv volt, mely 1896-ban jelent meg Máramarosszigeten. Ez Karl Eugen Neumann Zwei Buddhistische Suttas című művének fordítása.

Hollósy József 1898. április 11-én hunyt el hosszas szenvedés után.

The first representative of Buddhism in Hungary was József Hollósy.

József Hollósy was born in 1860 as the third son of the Hollósy family, the younger brother of Ferenc and Simon.

He completed the seven classes of high school in Sighetu Marmației. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich as a student of Gabel. Scholarship holder in Munich between 1880-84.

The first edition of Káté was published in 1893 in Sighetu Marmației, and then, due to the interest, it was published a second time in 1901. József Hollósy’s second work was the book Buddha mondák, which was published in 1896 in Sighetu Marmației. This is a translation of Karl Eugen Neumann’s Zwei Buddhistische Suttas.

József Hollósy died on April 11, 1898 after a long suffering.
